POCO F4 GT, POCO X4 Pro 5G, and POCO M4 5G are just a few of the smartphones POCO introduced in 2022. Despite having very good specs for the price, three devices’ launch prices are out of reach for those looking in the entry-level market. We now have the long-awaited release date for POCO’s upcoming entry-level gadget, the POCO C40, after six months into the year 2022.
The Poco C40 has been formally presented by Poco worldwide, and it is a smartphone geared for beginning users. The smartphone will first launch in a few places, but it’s not yet clear how it will be made available in India. The rear panel of the Poco C40 has a large rectangular module that holds the dual rear cameras and LED flash. The Poco M-series serves as an inspiration for the camera module, which also features Poco branding. The back panel appears to have a leather-like texture to improve grip and prevent fingerprint smudges. The device is available in three colors.
The POCO C40 was officially launched globally on June 16 through a company-hosted online launch event, according to a tweet from the official POCO Global Twitter account.
Regarding the POCO C40’s other specifications, POCO has also been teasing users on its official social media pages. The POCO C40 will have a 6,000 mAh battery, the largest battery ever on a POCO smartphone, and a 6.71-inch teardrop notch panel, the largest screen ever on a POCO phone.
Specifications:
Given that it is a smartphone intended for entry-level users, the Poco C40 has basic hardware. The display is a sizable 6.71 inches and has HD+ quality. On the new Poco phones, users can take advantage of display functions like Reading Mode. In order to resist simple scratches and increase durability, the display panel also has Corning Gorilla glass protection. The phone also receives an IP52 grade for water and dust protection.
The Poco C40 weighs about 204 grams and has a sturdy build. It has an octa-core JLQ JR510 SoC with a maximum clock speed of 2.0GHz. Instead of well-known chip manufacturers like Qualcomm and MediaTek, the chipset is made by Shanghai-based JLQ.
A 13-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor are located on the back. A 5-megapixel front camera with Full-HD video capture at 30 frames per second is located on the front panel. Notably, the fingerprint scanner is also located in the back camera module.
The Poco C40 has a dual-SIM card slot and supports 4G, Bluetooth 5, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity. On the smartphone’s top spine is a 3.5mm audio jack as well. A sizable 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging capabilities is included with the Poco C40. A 10W adapter is provided in the packing.
Pricing:
The Poco C40’s exact price is yet unknown, and the firm promised to reveal information on the device’s regional availability soon. The phone has two memory options: 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, 4GB RAM, and 64Gb of internal storage.
Customers will be offered three color choices: Black, Green, and Yellow.
