At its recent (WWDC 2022) Worldwide Developer Conference, Apple launched its latest 13-inch MacBook Pro 2022 with its brand-new M2 CPU along with the new MacBook Air. The Cupertino-based technology company has revealed that pre-orders for the brand-new 13-inch MacBook Pro will open from June 17 onwards. Both the authorized resellers of the company and the Apple India official site will offer it for purchase. It has up to 2TB of storage capacity and up to 24GB of integrated memory. A single charge of the MacBook Pro (2022) is supposed to last up to 20 hours and has a 13-inch Liquid Retina Display.
MacBook Pro pricing and availability:
The starting price in India for the 13-inch MacBook Pro (2022) with M2 CPU is Rs. 1,29,900. It is also offered for educational purposes, with a starting price of Rs. 1,19,900. There are two colors for the 13-inch MacBook Pro: silver and space grey. The entry-level 256GB SSD model with 8GB RAM costs Rs 129,900. With 8GB RAM, the 512GB SSD version costs Rs 1,49,900. The cost of upgrading RAM to 16GB will increase by Rs 20,000, and the cost of 24GB RAM will increase by Rs 40,000. The largest available storage choice is 2TB.
The MacBook Pro (2022) will go on sale starting on June 24, and pre-orders for it will commence on Friday at 5:00 AM PDT (5.30 PM IST) on June 17 via the company website, the Apple Store app, and authorized resellers. In the meantime, Apple is making the MacBook available with no-cost EMIs starting from Rs. 1,667.

The Apple M2 chipset, which has an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, powers the 13-inch MacBook Pro. According to Apple, the new model is roughly 40% faster than the M1 laptop’s previous edition. MacBook Pro has an advanced cooling system and also supports ProRes encode and decode. Users can play up to 11 streams of 4K and up to 2 streams of 8K ProRes video on the new MacBook Pro. Up to 20 hrs of streaming video is included.
The 13.3-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit IPS display on the MacBook Pro has a resolution of 2560 x 1600, 227 pixels, and a brightness of 500 nits. Unlike the MacBook Air, this one does not feature a notch display. The webcam’s resolution is still 720p. The laptop does include a Touch ID and the Touch Bar on the top.
Two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports on the MacBook Pro M2 are compatible with DisplayPort, charging, USB 4 (up to 40 Gbps ), Thunderbolt 3 (up to 40 Gbps), and USB 3.1 Gen 2 (up to 10 Gbps). Additionally, there is a headphone jack.
Unlike the MacBook Air, it does not have a MagSafe charging port. The laptop also supports WiFi and Bluetooth. A 67W USB-C power charger is included with the laptop. The new MacBook Pro’s speakers are still located on both sides of the keyboard. When utilizing AirPods (3rd generation), AirPods Max, or AirPods Pro, it supports spatial sound with dynamic head tracking and when playing music or videos on built-in speakers with Dolby Atmos.
