According to Counterpoint Research’s most recent research, Apple topped the list of the best-selling smartphones worldwide in April 2022. The top four spots of the top 10 best-selling smartphones in April 2022 were occupied by Apple’s iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 12. The only other brands to appear in the top 10 bestsellers were Samsung and Redmi. The top 10 models held a market share of 21% of the entire smartphone market.
With a 5.5% market share, the iPhone 13 became the world’s best-selling smartphone, according to the latest data from Counterpoint research. With a 3.4 % global market share, the iPhone 13 Pro Max, the priciest iPhone model currently available, took second place. The market shares for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 12 were 1.8 and 1.6 percent, respectively. With a 1.4 percent market share of all smartphone sales, the iPhone SE 2022 placed seventh overall and was the fifth Apple device in the top 10. The iPhone SE 2022 “led the bestseller list for April and captured 18% of the country’s [Japan’s] smartphone market share,” according to the report.
With a 1.5 % and 1.4 % sales share, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G and Galaxy A13 placed fifth and sixth, respectively. India and Latin America together account for more than 50% of the Galaxy A13’s sales. With 1.4 % and 1.3 %, respectively, the Galaxy A03 Core and Galaxy A53 5G placed eighth and ninth. The most popular smartphone under $100 (about Rs. 7,800) in terms of wholesale pricing was the A03 Core. Nearly two-thirds of its business in April came from Central America.
With a market share of 1.3 %, Redmi Note 11 LTE, which finished in 10th place, was the only Chinese device to appear in the top 10. Additionally, the Note 11 LTE was responsible for 11% of Xiaomi’s overall sales. According to the report, the brand has been having supply problems, and its overall sales have decreased by almost 25% since April 2021.
